1H NMR spectra of classical and novel psychoactive substances (NPS) are reported, including 2-phenylethan-1-amines and N-benzyl-2-phenylethan-1-amines; 1-phenylpropan-2-amines and N-benzyl-1-phenylpropan-2-amines; 2-amino-1-phenylethan-1-ones and 2-amino-1-phenylpropan-1-ones; 1-(thiophen-2-yl)propan-2-amines; 3-methyl-2-phenylmorpholines (phenmetrazines); 2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-2-amines (2-aminoindanes); 2-(1H-indol-3-yl)ethan-1-amines (tryptamines); and others. Also reported are spectra of potential NPS precursor benzaldehydes and 2-nitroethenylbenzenes (β-nitrostyrenes). This collection of experimentally uniform spectra may help forensic and harm-reduction organizations identify these compounds, some of which appear only sporadically.
