Probably the best approach for most people is to read these pages in the order they are presented, and not to jump around too much.

At the end of each section there is a short quiz. If you read every page and pass all the quizzes you will have a very good understanding of HIV and AIDS.

A lot of what you will read here may be completely new to you. It can be a lot to absorb all at once. Some of the terminology will probably be unfamiliar.

To help you out, there is a Glossary button on every page. The glossary contains a list of words or phrases with a brief explanation of what they mean. Many of these glossary entries also link to a place in the course. You can follow these links (shown as More…) if you want to read more about a word or phrase.
